This brief article will hopefully give you an insight into some of the effects you can expect if you ever decide to take salvia divinorum . People taking Salvia report wildly differing experiences from the drug; you won’t know what you’re getting until you give it a try!

Uncontrollable laughter. This is an effect that salvia shares with quite a few other drugs. Giggling or laughter can sometimes be enjoyable for those experiencing it (though quite often the user will not even know what he or she is giggling about); often it is quite annoying for those unlucky sober people.

Hallucinations. Like LSD and marijuana, smoking salvia sometimes induces pretty vivid visual and audio hallucinations. These can range from some strange colors, to warped furniture and inanimate objects, to seeing people and creatures seemingly march into the room.

Outer body experiences are perhaps what the Mazatec Shamans are after when they take the drug: this feels like you’ve reached a spiritual high as you stare down upon yourself sat or laid on the floor. Weird! The feeling of merging with inanimate objects can also come to those who experience outer body experiences as well as hallucinations.

Essentially each trip is different. See what you can get out of it!
