It’s rare that I get so excited over a simple piece of software. It’s rare that I see something as comprehensively good as Ares Ultimate, though. I had the good fortune to download this excellent little filesharing application just the other day. I could see from the start that it was going to be good (the website looks slick and professional, the download was quick and the installation smooth) but I honestly wasn’t prepared to be blown away like this.

What struck me first about Ares Ultimate was how uncluttered the screen looks. It really does a lot for me when I can feel that a lot of effort has gone into a program like this. Less is more when it comes to options in the middle of program screens.

And then there is the fact that Ares Ultimate works really very nicely with AOL (which I am forced to use, unfortunately) and that doesn’t happen too often.

I could go on for hours here, but that would be silly (and no doubt you’re starting to get bored) but suffice to say that I really like this application, I will use it a lot and, really, I can’t find anything wrong with it apart from some spelling mistakes in the help section. Ares Ultimate is well worth a go.
