Monavie is one of the distributors of the massively popular acai juice. Acai juice is used to keep us healthy and fit, and is becoming a bit of a commodity.

To say that the Monavie brand is surrounded in controversy and criticism is to under play the hand dramatically; to say that Monavie has made some mistakes with its Monavie acai juice products is to not do this remarkable situation any justice.

One of Monavie’s main problems is the price, coupled with the quality. And if you have a problem here then you would think that your product is no go; not so for Monavie, who got past this problem simply by mismarketing the product and exaggerating its unproven benefits. Simple!

The price issue is obvious: Monavie is twice as expensive as its nearest rival Amazon Thunder. Amazon Thunder is a superior alternative to Monavie acai juice but without steep price.

The quality issue is a little easier hidden, until you look at the list of ingredients. Oops! Someone forgot to put any acai in this acai juice! The only acai that is in there is of the freeze dried variety, with the rest of the ingredients — the vast majority of all the ingredients — consist of fruit juice. Regular fruit juice.
