I realize that many people want to get iPhone TV. This is pretty much the holy grail of gadget achievement; until recently it just hasn’t been possible. Some handsets are starting to be able to receive decent television signals and, thanks to some Apple jiggery-pokery, some interesting advances in the capability of hardware (and the increasing ubiquity of decent Wi-Fi connections), and the exciting news that Apple are soon going to release an app that will allow iPhone TV as soon as by the end of this year.
The technology provider Sling – inventor of the pretty ingenious Sling box – reckon that they’re ready to let iPhone TV happen right now. All they need is access to Apple’s proprietary software development kit (SDK). This is where this excellent plan falls down somewhat. Sling are naturally keen to cash in on what could be an amazing opportunity for them in this new and exciting area.Since mac games came into play
The idea behind Sling is that you pass your TV connection down through the internet to a mobile device of your choice. The extension of this simple idea to working with iPhone TV is fairly elementary; let’s just hope that Apple see the benefits before it becomes too late.
