The music industry is changing and, like any other business, those that are able to adapt and change with it will be best suited to weather its storms. Currently the buzzword for anyone in the industry is free music downloads.

Free music downloads has been around for some time now under the guise of file sharing, torrents, and services like Napster. Free music downloads has definitely become a part of life, even if it has presented a headache to many.

The inevitability of free music downloads has meant that many in the music business recognise that it must be embraced as part of the future rather than avoided like the plague. Bands like Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails and latterly Colplay have forged a path and are attempting to make the most of the situation. Legitimate free music downloads download services like We7 (who have recently teamed up with Sony BMG) look set to have a bright future.
