It is always disappointing when something doesn’t meet your expectations. This was the case when we took Ares Destiny out for a spin recently. What started off promisingly took a turn for the worst when we realized that there were some very dark secrets to be unveiled.

Ares Destiny is a free filesharing application offered quite openly on the Internet. The website is clean and professional an certainly gives no cause for alarm. The download process is easily instigated and quickly completed. So far so good!

Installing Ares Destiny is pretty easy too (there’s no space to include a step-by-step guide but reading the onscreen instructions should do you just nicely) and within a few minutes you’ve got it up and running.

As with an Ares-based software Ares Destiny makes downloading and sharing music files pretty easy; once they’re on your computer you can do with them as you please.

It is about this time – the time when you’re feeling pretty pleased with yourself – that the adverts start popping up. Why adverts? Well without knowing it you’ve just installed the ad-serving Dealio on your computer. Dealio is a nasty piece of adware that touts itself as a “comparison toolbar”. In truth it is an intrusive piece of malware that is incredibly difficult to remove.

Definitely avoid.
