CCN to pay $1,375,000 for deceptive Acai marketing!
Guess what? Central Coast Nutraceuticals Inc and its owner Graham Gibson have faced the biggest penalty of their lifetimes and a record highest-ever penalty announced to the online scammers.
CCN had beautifully designed their order form for Acai free samples which had pre-selected costly products along with the free-trials in order to “up-sell” their low-selling highly expensive products. As a result, if the customer did not look out for these pre-selected products other than Acai then he/she ended up paying for whatever he/she never wanted to buy. And the annoyed customers couldn’t really do anything, but to protest against CCN’s deceptive online marketing campaign which was apparently run for distributing free-trials of their so-called high-quality low-on-pocket Acai health supplements.
The furious customers who suffered at the hands of spurious ways adopted by CCN filed complaints and for the first time in the history an online marketing Acai berry scam was penalized massively forcing CCN to pay off over $1,375,000.
Yeah, don’t worry there’s nothing wrong with your eyes. It is indeed one million and three hundred and seventy five thousand dollars. Perhaps CCN wouldn’t have really made even half of this amount with their entire campaign, but the bottom line is that they’ll have to pay for their wrong deeds. So who still says online scammers don’t get punished!
